Graduate Program Description

The Department of Economics Master's degree program is designed to prepare individuals for careers in both the public and private sector. The programs also offer excellent preparation for students considering further work in a Ph.D. program. The 30-credit program has five required courses and five electives which can be chosen from a wide-range of related fields, including economics, global affairs, finance and statistics. There is no thesis requirement.

All entering students are required to have undergraduate classes in micro and macro theory, one semester of statistics, and at least one semester of calculus.
Intermediate Micro Theory Calc. II and Econometrics are strongly recommended.
